Engine & Diagnostics

A check engine light can mean a loose gas cap or a failing catalytic converter. The code narrows it down; the diagnosis tells you which. We do both before quoting a repair.

What to expect

Reading the code is step one

The scanner gives a code, not an answer. A misfire code tells us which cylinder — it does not tell us whether it is a coil, a plug, an injector or compression. We test to find out.

Engine repair

Belts, timing components, water pumps, sensors, gaskets and cooling problems. If a repair is not worth it on the vehicle's value, we will tell you that too.

Steering and suspension

Struts and shocks, tie rods, ball joints, bushings and wheel bearings — the parts that make a car wander, clunk over bumps or chew through tires.

Batteries, starting and charging

Battery testing and replacement, alternator and starter diagnosis. If it cranks slow on a cold morning, get it tested before it leaves you in a parking lot.
