Brake Service
Brakes give you plenty of warning before they become expensive. A squeal is the wear indicator doing its job; a grind means the pad is gone and you are cutting the rotor.
Brake Service
What to expect
Pads and rotors
Pad replacement, rotor resurfacing where there is enough material left, and rotor replacement where there is not. We show you the old parts and the measurements.
The whole system
Calipers, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and brake fluid flush. A soft or sinking pedal is usually fluid or a hydraulic leak, not pads.
Noises and what they mean
A high squeal on light braking is the wear tab. Grinding is metal on metal. Pulsing through the pedal is a warped rotor. Pulling to one side is often a sticking caliper.
Do not wait it out
Pads are the cheap part of a brake job. Once they wear through, you are buying rotors too — and sometimes calipers. Coming in at the squeal saves real money.
